ParaNorman Looks To Impress
ParaNorman is an upcoming 3D stop-motion animated film set to release later this year on August 17, 2012. It is being produced by the animation studio Laika, who also produced the stop-motion animated feature film Coraline in 2009. ParaNorman features an impressive voice cast including Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The film is being co-directed by Sam Fell, who was also co-director of Flushed Away and The Tale of Despereaux, as well as Chris Butler who also wrote the screenplay for the film and is making his directorial debut. The film's score will be done by composer Jon Brion, who has composed music for movies such as Magnolia, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Step Brothers and The Other Guys in the past. ParaNorman is looking to be a fun animated film and it is sure to have a nice unique feel to it, as almost all stop-motion films do. If you haven't already, I strongly suggest checking out the trailer.
