There is no secret that there have been a boat load of superhero movies lately and it doesn't seem to be slowing down with many more in production. The question is, are there too many being made? We've got Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man and many more. The summer months are usually loaded with them and they always seem to top the box office. In addition to making a lot of money, most of the time they seem to bring in fairly good reviews from movie critics and fans alike. Look at The Dark Knight, Iron Man and X-Men: First Class. All of them were very well produced and received some very good reviews. So if a movie does good in all aspects, what does it matter if the story is about a crime fighter in tights? A good movie is a good movie. It's true that a lot of them are being made, but does it really matter? No, I don't think so. If they continue to be good movies overall, then I say bring them on.
As a female in this world - I tend not to like a lot of action films... which Superhero movies generally are action-packed! I will say though, X Men: First Class was pretty dang awesome. Can't say anything about Batman or Iron Man or even Spider Man... I don't watch those. At all.
ReplyDeleteWatch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. They are tremendous!
