The Social Network Review

The Social Network is an impressive 2010 drama film which was directed by the great American filmmaker David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin. The film features a very powerful cast which includes Jesse Eisenberg in the lead role portraying Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and has a supporting cast that includes Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Armie Hammer. The film went on to score eight Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, Best Director for Fincher, and Best Actor for Eisenberg at the 83rd Academy Awards and won Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Score at the 68th Golden Globe Awards.

The film features four breakthrough performances as far as I am concerned with Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Armie Hammer all giving very powerful and persuasive acting performances. Director David Fincher and cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth did a tremendous job at giving this film a unique and appropriate look to it as well. It's kind of a hard thing to explain, but everything just seems so right about this film. The visuals and pacing really help to carry it throughout its 121 minutes. The film also features some very striking music by the talented composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

The Social Network is a film that will not soon be forgotten and will be discussed by film lovers for years to come. It's riveting, exhilarating, absorbing, and fast-moving in addition to being a film that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone. The story is probably one of the most engaging and interesting stories ever told in movie history. It's an amazing cinematic achievement that deserves all of its accolades. Who would have thought that coding and algorithms could be so fascinating?
